2023 detroit jazz festival poster

Her striking design pays homage to jazz legends like Miles Davis and Alice Coltrane, while also weaving in a deeply personal narrative. At the center are two symbolic figures suspended between dimensions: the female figure represents Brittini herself—grounded in the physical realm—while the male figure embodies the spiritual presence of her late father and grandfather, whose influence sparked her lifelong love for jazz.

The artwork explores the interdimensional nature of music—how sound becomes a portal, allowing us to travel through time, memory, and spirit. As Brittini shares, “I have my dad and Grandpa to thank for my love of jazz.”
