What’s the Story?
This was painted during the Super Blue Moon. I wasn’t entirely sure what it all meant at first, but I did learn that a supermoon happens when the full moon is closest to Earth, making it appear bigger and brighter. A blue moon is the third full moon in a season that has four—a rare occurrence, which is where the phrase ‘once in a blue moon’ comes from. Spiritually, it’s said to heighten intuition, emotions, and serve as a portal for reflection, release, and setting new intentions.
I decided to be still—to stay home, tune in, and paint during its peak. This is what came out.
