What’s the Story?
The title says it all. I was commissioned to do a live painting at a Detroit SOUP event—and what better image to paint than a bowl of soup? Veggie soup with a tomato base, to be exact. This experience is when I realized how much I love bringing people along for the journey of creating a painting—and how much they love it too. It feels so much better than just hanging a piece on a wall, hoping someone connects with it…and maybe buys it. But hey, that happens too.
